Gone are the days when churches that were portrayed in the Bible were made to win souls and preach the gospel. It baffles me how some churches of this generation are so keyed in adopting someone to be a full member of the church only to fill in their seats.
Looking back to churches in the Bible, they go out to preach to the people and bring lost souls to Christ.
Truth be told, some churches are actually after winning souls for Christ while some churches are after winning members to fill in empty seats in the church.
I have had many encounters with different people who happened to attend one or two churches and quit going to that church because of some faults they noticed in the church and what the church members are after.
Let's take this scenario. An evangelism team of a local church preached to many people and eventually won souls and they brought them to their church for more encounter.
After a while, one or two persons stopped coming to that church, they were never checked on by the follow up team or any so called“full member" of the church to know what happened.
Winning souls for Christ doesn't end at bringing the person to church. You have won a soul when you have been able to transform that individual into a new life through the help of the holy spirit.
Don't stop praying for that soul for God's intervention in his/ her life because it is only through the help of God we can do a thing.
You will begin to see changes in that beautiful soul's life. His old ways can't be compared to his new life. He will testify about his old ways and who he is now.
Winning souls for Christ is given a lost soul a place to stay. Giving a rascal a meaningful life. Given a good life to those who can't lay hands on a good life.
Winning souls for Christ entails being like Christ to reach out to the world.
