This a a true life story of a final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba, was innocently molested and assaulted by corporal Ibrahim who did not understand his duty as a policeman but all he was after is to collect bribe.
Ms Adekunle was on her way to submit her final year project in her school before she encountered another event that she did not and never hoped to experience in her life.
This bribe seeking police man demanded just #50 note from the driver after he stopped him at the check point, but the driver did not have any change on him and decided to give him #500 and expecting his change.
After a while, the driver was impatient and walked to the police for his change after wasting his time for five minutes. He refused to attend to the driver and the passengers on the other side became furious and impatient.
You can imagine what happened next. The police man went straight to the vehicle and started raising heavy curses and insults on the passengers, but they decided not to say a word. Mr Ibrahim got angry and decided to use someone as a scape goat.
He pointed at the innocent Ms Comfort Adekunle and dragged her out of the vehicle, asking if she was deaf and dumb that she didn't hear what he was saying.
Still on the matter, he tore her clothes and started fondling her breast, touching her in places that are out of bound for him. He punched her, took her phone away and threatened her with his gun. Her nose was bleeding profusely because of the punch she received from the police officer.
She fainted at that spot because of the shock and trauma she went through. She was rushed to the hospital and was placed under proper medical care.
Comfort's lawyer took up the case and ensured that the police officer was summoned for proper investigation.
Nigerian police though. They can never stop abusing the power given to them. We are not animals to be treated like trash. We are to be protected not to be killed like animals.
