A Journalist was Caught Stealing Packs of Tea in Intercontinental Hotel, Nairobi

A man claiming to be a journalist was arrested on Tuesday, December 6 for stealing from Nairobi's Intercontinental Hotel. He disguised himself as a journalist by parading around the hotel premises.
 The arrest of David Ojiambo  took place after he was caught stealing a gift pack which contains tea leaves which happened to be the property of the hotel.

He was apprehended  with the gift pack which contained a packet of Jani Green tea leaves and two packets of Ketepa.

The tea leaves packets which were valued at KSh4,500 in their currency is approximately (#14,000) in our local currency which belonged to John Karanu.

Ojiambo was able to steal  those items because of how he disguised himself as a journalist while parading around the hotel and  attending a function at the hotel.

He told Milimani principal magistrate ,Charity Oluoch that he truly attended a function at Intercontinental hotel in Nairobi  but he mistakenly took the back.

He was released on KSh3,000  cash bail with his case set to be heard  on December 27 of this month.
