We are in a world where many distractions and noises prevent us from hearing from God, which leaves us wondering if God is really speaking to us. We tend to miss the main thing on how we can hear from God. Probably we might have been hearing from God without realizing it. This article will answer some of your questions

 The good thing is God speaks to us all the time. He wants to always speak and have a deep fellowship with us. The Bible says the sheep know my voice and they hear me. Constant fellowshipping with God will enable you to hear from him because you can recognize his voice. 

God speaks to us through the Holy Spirit and his voice is subtle and mild. So try to discern the voice of God. Here are a few ways to know you are hearing the voice of God

1. Check the Receiver- The bible says you will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. How alert is your spiritual antenna? You cannot yearn to hear from God if your spiritual life is dead. Many people in the bible like Abraham, Jacob, Moses, and others were constantly hearing from God because they were close to God. When your spiritual antenna is high, you can always hear from God because he is not far from you.

2. Check The Frequency- How often do you fellowship with God? How often do you take time out in your busy schedule for God? Do you put God in a compartment and visit him when you feel like it? God will not speak to you because you do not have a relationship with him. Let's take the example of our earthly father, we spend a lot of time with him which is why we can easily speak to him and also hear him respond. If you do not spend time with God, you cannot hear him speak to you.

3. Study The Scripture- God speaks to his children in different means. Just like in advertising, when advertisers want to speak to their audience, ty use different channels to reach them, so as God, Studying the word of God will enable you to hear from God that is if your spiritual antenna is turned on. You can open the bible without hearing anything from God. A lot of people get revelation through the bible and also answers to their questions through the word of God. You can be confused about so many things in your life but when you intentionally open the bible, you will get a word, from God.

4. Check your Dream Pattern- Dreams are not just an event where people sleep and find themselves in another realm. God can speak to his people through dreams. Let your life be without blemish, you will realize that you are actually hearing from God through one of your dreams. I am talking through experience. God speaks to me through dreams and it is not far-fetched. God wants to speak to you in your dreams but are you sensitive enough to know it is God speaking to you?
