A Nigerian man identified as Tolulope Emmanuel Ogunleye took to his Facebook page and wrote a lengthy article on betnaija and how many Nigerians have engaged so much in this act.
"Many of our youth have engaged themselves in this "get rich quick" act which includes spending all their times in betting shops. The fact remains that you hardly win and even if you win it's very small compared to total money you have spent before winning. If these times spent in the betting shops are engaged in other meaningful things, our youths won't be this jobless (near useless).
One fact about a money you never worked for is that you hardly make good use of it. Since I came of age to know what betting is, I have not seen any person that has won reasonable money rather I only hear it as a rumour. Let's assume that people have been winning millions of naira as the rumour do have it, how many of them made judicious use of the money? How many of them have changed the job of betting to being entrepreneurs? The money always go the way it came.
As a youth, I admonish us to channel our time, energy and other resources to something more meaningful and reasonable. This is for the sake of posterity.
