Chelsea star Morata responds to Hazards claims about his finishing ability

Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata finally given a response to Eden Hazard’s joking claims that the Spanish forward need to start scoring with his feet.

The Belgian claimed that Morata needed to improve with the ball at his feet after only scoring and assisting with his head.

Regardless of how he finishes, the forward has been a revelation so far at Stamford Bridge since his £70million move from Real Madrid.

The Spaniard has scored three goals in his last four appearances for Londoners but was rested during Chelsea’s 6-0 win against Qarabag.

He will no doubt be looking to score against Arsenal at the weekend to improve that tally but has responded to Hazard’s teasing remark.

“At the moment, I’ve only scored and assisted with my head for Chelsea, so I hope to use my feet as well soon,” he explained.

“It’s true that English football is different to Italy and Spain. You don’t have much time to calm down, or relax because all the time the ball is on fire.”

“You need to be in good condition to play here and approach every match with a good mentality.”

“In terms of the marking, it is probably the same here as in Italy with the teams that are maybe not at the top of the league – those teams are compact and it’s hard for us sometimes to break them down.”

“But when the other team wants to play with the ball, you can find space. That’s when you find the spaces to attack the other team.”
