When one door closes

A girl has been very dedicated and committed at her work place. Everything she does, she ensures it suits her boss.

After work, she ensures that everything is in order. People around her praises her,except her boss.

This lady noticed that her boss has never appreciated  her for once even though she works extra hard .

One day, a co- owner of the company walked in and saw how serious and focused the girl was. He talked about her to the girl's boss, he shunned his friend telling him that the girl is not really useful to him.

"Abeg! Leave this bonga fish of a girl, she is not useful to me", he mocked her.

The two men laughed over it, but the co- owner of the company saw the girl as a useful tool to his other company.


For many years, she has always remained nothing but a personal assistant to him. He has never for once encouraged her for a job well done.

She has endured all these years, because she has no choice than to remain in the company.

Few days to her birthday, she was sacked for a little mistake that can be corrected. The mistake of forgetting to book an appointment for her boss's client . This lady has already planned on how she will celebrate her birthday with the little salary she is earning.

" I am sorry sir, I forgot to book an appointment with the client. It skipped my mind. It will never repeat itself again", she begged.

After begging and begging, her boss wrote a letter instantly and handed it over to her without a word.

She felt like her life has finished. She got home with tears and bitterness. No one to talk to except God

Few weeks later, she got back on her feet and began searching for Jobs again.
Lol and behold, the last place she went to was the company of the co- owner of her ex- company.

The man was happy to have her in his company .Without no interview, she got the job,not even as a P.A but as a Human Resource Manager. She was speechless when she saw the acceptance letter.

" Congratulations! I have been waiting for you", he said with a smile.

The lady took the warm handshake without realizing the man's identity.

At times when we hold onto something, we believe that nothing good is coming our way until that door closes . Never feel dejected when that good job is taken away from us. It is a way of God telling us" there is something bigger in front of us when we open that door".
