The daughter of Anambra billionaire,Kelechi Ezeemo, shed tears at the sight of the innocent lives the got wasted yesterday at St Philips Catholic Church, Anambra.
True to their nature, the first notable couple to show up at the scene of the heinous manslaughter that occurred today at Ozubulu in Anambra State was Mr and Mrs Ezeemo, accompanied by their daughter, Kelechi.
Kelechi who grew sober covering her eyes with sun shade eye-glass saw children dropping lifeless on their own pool of blood. A baby had his brain burst open by bullets lamented that the painful thing is that the people suffering in this exchange apparently know nothing about the cause of the event.
Tears continuously rolled down her cheek, At a point, Mrs Ezeemo had to hug her daughter who was overcome by compassion at the sight of all the dead and wounded in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching hospital, Nnewi (where victims of the Ozubulu shoot-out were taken).
Mrs Nneka Ezeemo, the Managing Director of Orient Daily newspaper, Awka, while speaking with newsmen, described the event as unfortunate and against Igbo values and culture.

Mr Godwin Ezeemo, PPA gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming Anambra gubernatorial election, who termed the event the ‘first of its kind in Anambra State’, stressed the need to get to the root cause of the event. He also reiterated the need for more lasting solution to power supply problem in the state.
“If we had constant power supply, I am sure that an edifice like this (referring to the church) would have security cameras which would make an incident like this easier to contain,” he said.
Ezeemo also recommended more decisive empowerment of the youths as a way of proactively taking care of security problems.

He enjoined those affected, and indeed all Anambrarians, to take heart, have faith in God and take the incident as a lesson to be more loving and sharing in their disposition towards life.
Recounting, the gun men stormed the church and interrupted an ongoing 5;30 mass service at St Phillip's Catholic church and wasted 8 lives and more than 30 were injured including a little boy who was brutally shot o the head. What an omen.!! See photos below...
