Court orders the closure of a popular automobile market in Akure

The Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure has ordered the closure of a popular automobile market in Akure, owned by the state government following the alleged disobedience of the government to obey the vacation order of the court.

The court officials marked the fence of the property located at Akure-Ilesa Expressway, Akure.

With the development the automobile dealers occupying the premises would vacate the land until further notice.

Chief Taye James and Idowu Onanuga took the government to court for illegally acquiring the land.

The court, in 2014, in a judgment delivered by Justice A.O Adebusoye, ruled that the government should vacate the land.
