The defendant was arraigned along side with his culprit, Abiodun Ekundayo, a 31- years old businessman for conspiring in the abortion and termination of the complaint's pregnancy.
The accused had the sexual intercourse with Bidemi between the year 2014 and February 2017 at Odundun street, Ile- Oluji, Ondo State, the abortion of the pregnancy took place at Kajola Road, Ile- Oluji, Ondo State.
The prosecutor in charge of the case, Ebrikku David said that the victim could not remember the exact time and date the rape took place due to the trauma she went through.
Meanwhile, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges levied on them and they were charged on 3 counts offence of rape, conspiracy and murder which are contrary and punishable under section 32(2), 516 and 228 of Ondo State Child's Right law 2007 and the Criminal Code Law of Ondo State.
Miss Bidemi explained to the court some of the events that happened at that time.
" he brought medicine to me in the school when I discovered I miss my period . When o got home I told him I have used the drug", she told the court.
" he went to buy pregnancy test and he discovered that the pregnancy is still positive. He went further to buy local gin and I used it, later he discovered that it was not working,"
" He told me we need to go and terminate the pregnancy and he took me to meet Abiodun".
" He said I should tell Abby that the owner of the pregnancy is not here." She told the court.
The presiding magistrate, Edwin O.A gave her ruling on a Bail term of two(2),sureties each which must be a civil servant ,a level 12 and above.
The defendants were kept in police custody till they meet the bail terms.
The magistrate thereby adjourned the case till 7th September 2017 for further hearing.
