Don't let it get the best of you

A couple has been married for many years, they quarrel sometimes and let things slide. At times they can get angry at each other and within the next hour they will reconcile.
The wife has always been very courteous on what she says so as not to offend her husband. She ensures that they don't carry grudges to the next day.
One day she offended her husband by not making his meal on time as she always prepares his meal on time. . She wakes up every morning to prepare their kids for school while her husband dresses himself and zooms off to work. She on the other hand was also a working class mother. She tried as much as possible to please her husband.
One day her husband got back from work, no food on the table. He bashed into the room, found his wife sleeping and snoring. He was so irritated he hissed and went to the bed, tapped her forcefully. She woke up and was angry at him due to how he tapped her without realizing that she must be very tired.
He asked her where his food was, she told him that she will prepare the food later coupling with the fact that she was very tired. He became angry and left the room. The woman was surprised and continued her beauty sleep.
The next morning, she greeted him and there was no response from him. That cold treatment went on for months. She tried asking him what the problem was,he refused to tell her.
One day, his wife went out of the house while her husband was at home with the kids. She forgot her inhaler at home and there was no other person she could call other than her husband. She called him severally to bring her inhaler because she desperately needs it but he refused to pick up her calls. She sent him a text, he refused reading the text.
The next call he received was from a stranger who only called him to inform him that his wife has passed away. He was shocked and couldn't believe what he heard. He regretted holding unto what his wife did to him which he should dropped that very day. His sweat for many years has crumbled because of his ego.
He lost his wife out of ignorant and unforgiveness . If only he let go of what happened without taking it as an offence, he would still have someone to look after his home. He refused picking up his wife's call because he felt she offended him by not preparing his meal on time. We shouldn't take little things to heart because when we do, we are given room for anger and hatred which leads to unforgiveness for each other. Don't let little offence have the best of you which leaves you bitter at the end of the day. Lets learn to accept each other's mistakes in love and forgive instantly.
