Her Mistake

Aisha used to be an outgoing and jovial girl. No one knew what came over her all of a sudden. She believed so much in her dreams of becoming a beauty therapist and owning a fitness center as well.

As a young child, she was so used to her mum; her dad was never around  to watch her grow. Her first word as a child was calling her mum" aunty", which was what pupils call her mum in and outside her school environment.

No one was around her to call her mother, the name that every child calls their mother. She happened to be the only child which made it difficult for her while growing up.
Her mum couldn't bear the sight of her child calling her aunty, she tried her possible best to encourage her and teach her what she was meant to call her.

Her husband on the other hand left and married another woman because she gave birth to a girl child after waiting to conceive for many years. After marrying another woman, the woman took in and conceived a baby boy. Her husband was delighted and forgot that he has a daughter somewhere.

Aisha's mum cared and watched her daughter grew into a beautiful and strong girl. Coming from a muslim background, she taught her ways of Allah, what to do and not to do as Islam has taught them. She taught her good things and some lessons about life.

"Aisha , listen to me very good, you are my only daughter, you are all that I have, bringing you up all to this point wasn't easy, you know your father has been away since your birth but I know that he will be delighted to see your beautiful face". She said trying to control the emotions within her, she wanted to burst into tears , but she thought about what Aisha would have done and asked if she sensed that her mum is crying, and there must be a reason for that. She took a deep breath and continued; " It's time for you to understand perfectly about life, and these things I want to tell you were the things my parents told me before they died.,it sank into me like water, and that's what I want to let you know." Aisha was so engrossed in what her mum is saying. She put her hands on her chin, sitting on her little plastic chair that her mum bought for her while growing up. She paid full attention to her mum's admonitions.

"I want to to always do good and be good to people because it pays to be good. In life, you have to be honest and truthful in all that you do. Be brave and confidence. Always be contented with what you have and...." There was a knock at the door, she stood up and dismissed Aisha to find out who that was.
