It is so disheartening how children are treated with levity when it comes to their education. There is no atom of seriousness in our leaders concerning education in Nigeria.
How can a child learn properly sitting on blocks? It is a total waste of time and effort because the child cannot concentrate properly to learn due to the unfavorable condition of his / her environment.
For the fact that they do not complain does not mean they are enjoying the situation. The truth is they are not enjoying it but they have no choice but to endure whatever comes to them because their parents cannot afford private school's tuition.
It is not a must that a child should be in a well constructed Air conditioned room, Sofa all around, food and drinks to eat when hungry but at least they should have access to good chairs, white boards and we'll constructed class rooms.
We are in a modern world, I do not know where they still make use of chalks to write on black boards.
They should be treated as though they are in private schools. That is why some private schools are made only for the rich, not even an average Nigerian can afford the fees of some private owned institutions.
Facebook users, especially indigenes of Delta State reacted bitterly to the post displayed on facebook where pupils where seen sitting on blocks as class room chairs for learning. They felt dissapointed because they believed that their governor or the people in position should have done a better work than this.
