Take a look at Oprah’s moving tribute to the victims of the Las Vegas shooting

Recalling the disheartening incident that happened at Las Vegas on Sunday night which claimed 59 lives and wounded 500 others,Stephen Paddock opened fire into the crowd at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on Sunday night .A number of celebrities have since penned messages of support, and shared pleas for gun reform and their hopes for the country.

On Wednesday, Oprah Winfrey paid tribute to the victims on The Ellen Show: "I feel the soul of the nation. I feel the ache that we all feel. As the names are coming out and you get to see who they are by name, I speak their names out loud in thoughtful prayer. And I think this is a time for all of us to...appreciate the ordinary."

Winfrey explained that, for example, she thinks about the victims of September 11 not only on the tragedy's anniversary, but also in the most simple, unassuming moments of her daily life—for instance, while she's tying her shoes or taking a shower. "All those people that morning did the same thing," she said of the Las Vegas victims.

"And it was such an ordinary day. I think about everyone who went to that concert the other night.... This is a reminder to all of us to appreciate the ordinariness of our days, because that's what makes life extraordinary."
